Her Point Is 2

In his article "School is a prison-and damaging our kids," Peter Gray emphasizes that school itself is the real problem by forcing and navigating students into paths that they are not even interested in. Also insisting that just by putting more money into schooling systems, creating even more complex teaching programs, and also getting better teachers would not be the main answer to our schooling problems. Gray claims research shows that people from all types of ages learn more effectively when they are motivating themselves. A school that is doing the right things as Gray mentions is Sudbury Valley School, in Framingham, Mass. This school holds students from ages of 4 to 18 years old and it allows its students to do whatever they want in class, but still having them obey some of the school rules. It allows for students to be more enthusiastic of the types of things they want to learn about simply because they are interested in it.
In my view, I disagree despite the fact that Gray brings up good points on how people will only want to learn things if they are interested in the subject. Even though it may be true modern schools still play an important role on teaching students many things they are not interested in. Just because someone isnt iterested in a subject doesnt mean that they will not need it. Many of the things they teach are vital for better preparing students for the many problems they will face in the future.
